  • Rent reduction despite supposed modernisation
    My apartment was supposedly "modernised".

    Does your contract state that your apartment was modernised before you moved in? Often this is just an ineffective attempt by your landlord to circumvent rent control. Because in very many cases the so-called "modernisation threshold" is not even reached, and we can reduce your rent despite the (supposed) modernisation.

  • Previous tenant's rent not always decisive.
    My previous tenant already paid the same high rent as I do.

  • Rent control still applies to furnished apartments.
